Papayas or Papita has a great in taste as well as nutrients, rich source of antioxidants like carotenes, flavonoids, folate, Vitamin B and C. Mineral rich with potassium, magensium, Copper. Berries are great antioxidants.
Try this simple Smoothie with some Punjabi Twist.
- Papaya 1/2 cup
- 5 Strawberries
- Honey 1 tablespoon
- Almonds 2 tablespoons
- Green Cardamom seeds 4 (Adds the Punjabi Twist)
- Yoghurt 1/2 cup
Use a high speed blender
- Add all the ingredients in the Jar.
- AddÂ some waterÂ to aid the blending.
- Once the mixture has been fully blended, add more water to get the preferred consistency.
- Add some ice and blend.
Papayas, Strawberries, Almonds, Honey, Yoghurt are all great nutrition rich foods.
Papaya is great for cardiovascular health and provides protection against colon cancer. The phyto nutrients in Papaya help to control the bad cholesterol. Papaya is packed with fiber as well. In India Papaya is always given to the patients as it promotes digestive health and have healing properties, it contains a digestive enzyme called papain which helps in healing in trauma and allergies.
